Shooting with Bull Riders

Spent a couple of days in Pocatello shooting a new movie for Project Filter.  Working with the amazing rodeo crew and Wiley Petersen and his family was awesome.  Film is in the can and Brettidor is on the  board.

New commercial for Project Filter

We had an incredible day at Meridian Speedway shooting a new commercial with our great friends at Project Filter and Davies Moore. 

The day was filled with high octane fuel, leaping motocross bikes, and speeding stock cars.  The finale was shooting footage of stock car racer Kenny Chandler speeding around the track mere inches from  the wall, our cameras and his opponent.  I was driving the "pace car" where Matt and Jim shot the footage.  I must admit that I smelt squealing rubber inside my car as I kept going faster and faster around the track.  It was great fun and the crowd really got into the segement.

After the run Kenny commented that he thought I was going to drift into the Paramedic Truck parked on the backside of the track.  My Murano held it's own and the footage is pretty insane.

More shooting to follow with a trip to eastern Idaho and Emmet.  The spot should be done before Christmas.  Stay tuned.

Boise State v Nevada

I spent an exceptional afternoon on The Blue shooting stills of the Bosie State Broncos Vs Nevada.  It was a Chamber of Commerce day on the turf with Boise State beating Nevada 30-10.  I got some great background plates for a new campaign we are working on.

I can't think of a better way to spend a awesome fall Saturday afternoon.

Working with Rizen Creative

We had one of those great days shooting stills and motion with Jeff Reynolds and Jason Hamilton along with Ron Baker from Rizen Creative.   The talent and production crew were insanely tight and funny and wonderful and Matt was all over it.  I need more days like this. 

New United Dairymen Billboards

I was driving to the studio today and saw the new billboards we created with Drake Cooper for the United Dairymen.  I am always so stoked and honored to see our work out in the public.  Dennis Buddel and gang did a tremendous job on the design and concept. 

TDG images win Mercury Award for Best Print Advertising

Wow,  I just found out that the Great Idaho Getaway campaign we shot with Drake Cooper won a prestigious "Best Print Advertising"  Mercury Award.  I had the opportunity to fly to Seattle and shoot with Joe Quatrone and Jennie Myers.  We set up shop in the Lumpkin's awesome crib and shot in their living room.  The background was provided from Manly in Stanley 2010.  Great working with the Drake Cooper folks!

I am really stoked, honored and thrilled to have one of our images featured on Photoshop.com web site.  I created the image of the Red Bull Race Plane flying over the Idaho Desert after visiting Oshkosh Air Show.

I have been doing a lot of aviation imagery the past couple of years and I really enjoy the genre.  I am currently working on a new series of images I hope to be posting soon.

Thanks again to the great folks at Adobe.  It really is a great honor!!

Making images in the farmlands of Idaho and Oregon

We just wrapped up a two day shoot in the farmlands of Southwestern Idaho and Eastern Oregon for IEOOC.  The photo gods were very generous this go round, providing us with a baby Jesus sky for our farm field shoot.  Thank you, thank you "up there".   I'll post them when they hit the streets.

America's Next Top Model Chelsey Hensley

We just finished shooting America's Next Top Model Chelsey Hensley for a new campaign for IEOOC.  It is such a pleasure to work with a model of Chelsey's caliber.   She is awesome and incredible to work with.  She had some great stories and we got a little insight into how the show and photo sessions happen.  Very interesting.

Robert Franz and the Boise Philharmonic

I just got done working with the incredible conductor Robert Franz on some images for Bosie Philharmonic 2011 Season campaign.  Robert was in the studio only mere feet away conducting to several scores.  It was a amazing experience working with him and Jane Perlaky on the project.  The final images will be hitting the streets soon.

Kristin Armstrong and Pearl Izumi

TDG was chosen by Pearl iZUMi and their advertising agency, Pocket Hercules, for this national trade publication ad with  Kristin Armstrong, Olympic gold medalist in cycling.   Greg Sims, co-owner of TDG and its Creative Director comments, "I've photographed Kristin for other campaigns and she's such a gracious person - we love working with her. "  Greg continues, "Using our Adobe Connect software, we worked in real-time with Pocket Hercules in Minnesota during the photo shoot and we quickly got the shots they were looking for and they loved the final results."

Great experience working with FRAMEDSHOW

We had a great time working with the amazing crew at FramedShow.  It is a new web based photography resource and education platform featuring professional photographers from all genres of the industry.  We were featured in several editions of the Outside the Softbox where we explored methods of lighting that utilize methods other than traditional softboxes.  Check out the site.  Great purpose, great people.

Just finished working with the incredible talent at Tina Tatum's TMTV Modeling and talent on some cimemagraphs.  We have spent quite a bit of time exploring the possibilities.  We are developing various scenarios that will provide a powerful visual statement for our clients.  We will posting more soon.  We want to thank all the ladies for working with us on this most interesting project.

MUUV

Matt and I had a great time photographing the ladies at fitness and wellness center MUUV a few weeks ago.  We wanted to create some images of yoga and pole exercises that were a bit out of the box.

Here Mikayla Latta is doing her routine on the beach in front of Pueblo Bonito, in Cabo San Lucas.  More images to come.  We have a couple pretty crazy ones in the works.

We just finished the editing and post production for North 44 Vodka.  Working with motion, tabletop, liquid pours and on location shooting was a incredible experience.  We are really fascinated by the possibilities of motion and the challenges and rewards it provides.

Olympic Gold Medal Winner Kristin Armstrong in the house.

We got to spend a spectacular day with Olympic Gold Medal winner, Kristin Armstrong.  We were shooting for global apparel giant  Pearl Izumi.  Second time shooting Kristin and is was great seeing her again and catching up.  She brought the intensity and the images came out incredible.  She is truly a super pro.
