Pair of F-89 Scorpions over the Snake River...Engaging

This is a awesome jet. Built in the 50's by Northrop, it gave the Air Force and Air Guard 10 years of dependable service. Twin engine-after burner. Like strapping yourself on the top of a missile and lighting it.

The Amazing Kristin Armstrong

Just put the finishing touches on an image of Kristin Armstrong, the Olympic Gold Metal cyclist. She was incredible to work with, and she had some really great stories from the road.

Her race bike felt like it weighted as much as a bowl of cereal. Really fascinating bicycle technology.

Barbara Morgan @ BSU

We just finished a image for Boise State University, with Space Shuttle Astronaut, Barbara Morgan. The image was created as a marketing piece and video background for BSU and for the Educational Technology Dept.

Barbara has a distinguished career as an educator and NASA specialist. It was great working with her on this project. The first time I have ever photographed a subject that has been in orbit.

MPIX Labs Kodak Metallic Paper

I just got my aviation prints back from MPIX labs on Kodak Metallic Paper. John Rank and I worked on a project for National Association of Photoshop Professionals and I have to say I haven't seen anything remotely close to this quality. It is an amazing process and the images have to be seen to be believed.

The print quality is world class. Silky shadows, powerful highlights and depth beyond comprehension. Check out MPIX. They will truly blow you away!

The Special Edition of "The Blue Mag" is out. Yeah.

Rayce Bird creates a new poster for Boise State Bronco

The Special Edition of "The Blue" just hit the streets and I wanted to highlight a great graphic artist who provided the double truck above. Rayce Bird created a stunning piece with lots of symbolism. Pick up The Blue and check it out.

New Image of Kyle Wilson NFL prospect from Boise State.

Here is a new image created for the Boise State Broncos of Kyle Wilson. Looks like he could very well be a first round draft pick for the NFL. He had a spectacular career at Boise State, and is an incredible individual.

We are all wishing him luck!!

Drake Cooper and TDG appear in Adweeks Blog

The gang at Drake Cooper are truly incredible, innovative creatives and I love working with them for that reason. We recently shot some cover art in Seattle for their "Adventures In Idaho" campaign. It appears that Adweek and Adfreak have picked up the campaign and have featured it in their blog.

Great shout out for a well deserved effort on Drake Cooper's part. Check out the blog here http://adweek.blogs.com/

The 2010 Fiesta Bowl Trophy arrives at Tri-Digital

We just completed a portion of the new imagery for the awesome Boise State Broncos Football Team and their incredible season topped off with the victory at the Fiesta Bowl. We have been commissioned to produce imagery illustrating the season, players and Coach Pete.

One idea we are working on involves the 2010 Fiesta Bowl Trophy. Really cool having the trophy here in the studio. We all had our pictures taken with it. Look for the new imagery to hit the street in a couple of weeks. It is going to be crazy!!

Photographing Pearl Harbor

I had a great experience on assignment in Pearl Harbor a couple of weeks ago. Such an inspirational place to photograph. It was really a great honor to memorialize the USS Arizona, museums, aircraft and USS BOWFIN. The museum and Ford Island complex is truly a shrine to the incredible bravery of the men and women stationed there. Very sacred ground indeed.

You cannot imagine the impact you feel seeing droplets of oil and oxygen rising to the surface as you stand over the hull of the USS Arizona, which sank almost 60 years ago. Still over 1000 sailors are entombed there. It is a unbelievable sensory experience.

The museum is filled with stories, photos and artifacts of that terrible day. Something I will never forget. I would highly recommend a tour next time you are in Oahu.

Stay tuned more images on the way!!

Below are some of the shots from the assignment. Enjoy!!
