I will be posting some images from Oah'u. The surf is said to be the biggest in a decade. I have made 4 trips to the north shore and there has been some incredible surf especially at Waimea. Pipeline and Sunset Beach were pretty much closed out on the big days. Waimea was breaking 40-50 ft. no kidding. The shore break was 20'.
This shot shows some of the size although there were waves much larger than this in the set. The surfers in the line-up were very cautious in there wave choice for good reason. Eating it on one of these monsters would involve a really heavy experience. The beach was packed as well as the highway winding around the bluffs.
Great to witness this epic day.
